Now in its seventh year, the DreamWeek Summit, which this year takes place from January 11 to 26, is a series of events that focus on fostering “the free exchange of ideas on universal issues affecting the human race.” The ultimate goal of DreamWeek is to advance “the voices of tolerance, equality and diversity.”
Over 200 events are planned across the city. According to organizers, “The aim is to invite all to participate in an open forum where real-world issues are discussed in a well-balanced manner, with the understanding that the truest voices will always prevail.”
Events which may be of particular interest to the LGBT community are listed below.
January 12 – Students on Equality and Diversity
Braination
Students from across San Antonio will gather for an open discussion of a variety of social issues that affect equality and diversity in today’s society.

Anna Vasquez, one of the “San Antonio Four” wrongly convicted LGBT Latinas, will share her journey to freedom and exoneration with the help of the Innocence Project of Texas.
