A new group, the LGBT L.O.V.E. Support Group, has started organizing meetings and events in New Braunfels for singles and for couples who are married, engaged, or in long-term committed relationships. The group’s motto is Love Overcomes Virtually Everything.

Organizers for the new group, Rachelle Garza-Cadena and Alic Garza-Cadena, said in a post on Facebook that “the key to our long-loving relationship was being surrounded by LGBT friends who supported and loved us through the good and bad times. We find it in our hearts to pay it forward and are starting this support group to be bring encouragement to other couples.”

Rachelle and Alic say the support group will discuss various topics, specifically on how to positively overcome couple struggles, how to communicate effectively, how to love without conditions, and “how to become as one as God intended . . . ”

For single members, discussions will include topics for those who struggle to meet a partner. “Its not that we know everything there is about love,” writes Rachelle on Facebook, “but what we do know is that being surrounded with healthy relationships strengthens our relationship with one another.”
