Tickets on Sale for Spirit of Texas Brunch

Tickets for the 2016 Equality Texas Spirit of Texas Brunch are now on sale. The event, slated for May 22 at the Historic Pearl Stable, is Equality Texas’ largest annual fundraiser in San Antonio.

According to the event announcement, “The Spirit of Texas Brunch brings together influential LGBT and ally Texans, speakers, and award honorees for an enjoyable champagne brunch to celebrate diversity! The Brunch is Equality Texas’ annual celebration and an opportunity for you to make an important impact on improving the lives of Texas’ diverse LGBT population.”

Each year at the brunch, Equality Texas honors individuals who are working toward equality for all Texans.

The annual awards include: the Anchor Award, given to an outstanding Texas advocate whose activism on the local level and beyond has proven invaluable to the cause of LGBT equality in Texas; the Advocate Award, given to outstanding public servants whose high ideals include a dedication to equal rights for LGBT Texans; and the Vanguard Award which is given annually to an exemplary business that has demonstrated a commitment to LGBT equality in the state of Texas through fair employee policy and community advocacy.

An announcement of this year’s honorees is expected soon.

Equality Texas Spirit of Texas Brunch, Sunday, May 22, 2016 at the Historic Pearl Stable, 307 Pearl Parkway. VIP reception begins at 10:30 a.m., brunch starts at 11:30 p.m. Early bird general admission is $110. Early bird VIP admission is $135. Tickets available through May 17.
