Have some fun in the sun with fellow queer females and support the LGBTQA community!
On July 5, brand-new event production company Joteria Productions is holding its premier event, Mar Y Machas!. Mar Y Machas! is a 21 & up all female queer pool party to be held at Laguna Del Rio Swim Club from 4:00 until 9:45. There will be food, drinks, music, and absolutely no men.
DJ P. Cosita and singer Alyson Alonzo will provide musical entertainment and queer chef Nadia Casperalta will be selling food (vegan & vegetarian options will be available).
Joteria Productions is an all-queer female event production company created by Giomara Bazaldua, Jessica Hawkins, and Ann Marie Correa. Bazaldua intends for the group’s efforts to “build a stronger sense of community among the LGBTQA mujeres in San Antonio.”
In a show of support for other LGBTQA organizations, a portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to LezRideSA, a group that works to provide outdoor activities for LGBTQA youth in a safe environment. Drop by to close out Pride Month with some fun in the sun and support the local LGBTQA community at the same time. The women behind Joteria Productions hope to see you there!
Only hard tickets to this event are being sold; they may not be purchased online. Tickets are $15 and cover the cost of admission and two drink tickets. They may be purchased at the door if any of the 100 being sold are still available, but be sure to follow the Facebook event page for updates on where tickets are being sold.
