On Dec 22, the Paper Tiger will play host to the third installment of Queers and Beers, “a big gay party” led by rapper Chris Conde and featuring performances by many of the city’s LGBT musicians.
Earlier this year, the second installment of Queers and Beers, held on June 12 at La Botanica, served as a gathering spot for the local community after the horrific shootings at Orlando’s Pulse Nightclub.
According to Conde, who has organized the event since its inception in 2015, the night’s goal is “to bring about unity, a sense of family and just an overall good time for not just the queer San Antonio community, but our entire San Antonio community.”
This year’s holiday themed edition of Queers and Beers will be hosted by Fonda Koxx and will feature performances by Alyson Alonzo, Wayne Holtz, DoubleTrouble!, August Harris, Michael Salem Gonzalez, Pussy Von Cramp, House of KENZO, Pink Leche, and Chris Conde.
The local non-profit, BEAT AIDS, will be on hand to provide free HIV testing.
