More than 100 LGBT San Antonians and their allies came out Sunday evening to show solidarity in the wake of the Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando, Florida. A vigil held in Crockett Park featured short comments from local leaders including State Rep. Diego Bernal, Police Chief William McManus, City Councilwoman Rebecca Villagran and John Cabrera of LGBT 210. Also present were Congressman Joaquin Castro and Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julián Castro. Following the vigil in Crockett Park, a rally was held across Main Avenue in front of Sparky’s Pub. Another vigil will be hosted by Pride Center San Antonio in Crockett Park on Thursday, June 16 at 7 p.m.LGBT
