SA Public Library Sponsors Pride Events

The San Antonio Public Library is hosting events during June in observance of Pride Month.

The San Antonio Public Library released a list of events it is sponsoring in observance of Pride Month. This is the sixth year the library has presented such a series.

A statement on the library’s web site explains the aim of the month-long observance:

June is Pride month, a time set aside to celebrate the contributions to culture and society of people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or intersex. Throughout the month, SAPL hosts programs and events that celebrate the diversity of the San Antonio community. SAPL is a welcoming community gathering place that believes in the power of information, imagination and ideas and supports equitable access to information for all people interested in the LGBTI community.
