‘Interconnectedness’ Celebrates Motherhood at Clamp Light Studios

A group exhibition celebrating the bond between mother and child will open Friday, February 10 at Clamp Light Artist Studios and Gallery.

Titled Interconnectedness and curated by resident artist Jose Villalobos, the exhibition brings together 17 artists with the aim of telling “untold stories about our creators.”

Villalobos is a recent graduate from the University of Texas at San Antonio and participant in the Gudalupe Cultural Arts Center’s 2016 Artist Lab exhibition. His most recent work touches upon gender norms and LGBT issues within the Mexican-American community.

Interconnectedness artists include Sabrina Alfaro & Kiley I. Madrigal, Sunday Ballew, Lisette Chavez, Samantha De Avila, Allysha Farmer, Sarah Fox, Jessica Garcia, Mark Anthony Martinez, Michael Martinez, Juan Mora, Paul Northway, Sarah T. Roberts, Leslie Sauceda, Anabel Toribio, Mary Wuest and Megan Alejos.

Polly Anna Rocha will give a musical performance.
