The 6th annual Emerald Ball, a burlesque drag fundraiser benefiting Pride Center San Antonio will take the stage at the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center on Saturday March 25.

The event, organized by photographer Julián P. Ledezma, will feature some of the city’s top drag and burlesque performers, the Pride of San Antonio Show Band, and Mexican folk singer Azul Barrientos. Out In SA cover girls, The Juniors, will headline the show and Tencha La Jeffa will emcee.

The Pride Center was founded 2011 with the purpose of establishing itself as “a clearinghouse that would work in alliance, rather than in competition, with existing programs and services within our community.”

In 2012 the Pride Center became a Federal 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and has operated out of a small office space since 2014 while holding its programming offsite.

All proceeds from the Emerald Ball will go directly to the Pride Center’s efforts to open a walk-in center.
