San Antonio police are searching for a pair of gunmen who shot and killed the bouncer of the Annex Bar on Sunday night. The club is located 330 San Pedro Ave. at the corner of Euclid.

According to information provided by the Annex, the bouncer was escorting a single female to her car around 11 p.m. When the bouncer and the customer got outside to the parking lot, two masked gunmen approached the bouncer and started firing at him.

The bouncer, who is 35-years-old and who’s name has not been released, was shot multiple times and died in the parking lot. The gunmen fled the scene.

While no motive has been given for the shooting, the San Antonio Police Department told KENS 5 that revenge may have fueled the killing. No arrests have been made.

At around mid-day, the Annex issued the following statement:

The Annex staff is greatly saddened by the loss of one of our own. It needs to be said that this was not an attack on the bar or the community at large. There appears to be some other motive for this senseless crime. SAPD and your local news sources have more information than we do. If anyone has any information or witnessed anything please contact SAPD. The staff and management of the Annex send our thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of the victim of this crime.

This is a developing story, updates will be posted as more information is received. (Video by San Antonio Express-News.)
