Two San Antonio Medical Facilities Designated Healthcare Leaders by HRC Foundation

Two San Antonio medical facilities have been been named Healthcare Leaders in the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2020 Healthcare Equality Index. The facilities, Metropolitan Methodist Hospital and VA South Texas Health Care System received perfect scores on HRC’s index. A third hospital, the Methodist Hospital located in the Medical Center, received a score of 40.

San Antonio-area Democrats Wendy Davis and Gina Ortiz Jones are among 27 Texas candidates endorsed by former President Barack Obama ahead of November 3 election. Obama’s announcement was released on August 3. Obama endorsed a total of 118 candidates in 17 states, including five Democratic Senate challengers and more than four dozen state legislative candidates.
