Early voting for the May 4 municipal election begins on Monday, April 2 and ends Tuesday, April 30.
This year’s election includes races for mayor and all ten City Council districts. There are nine candidates running in District 1; eight in District 2; seven in District 3; two in District 4; four in District 5; four in District 6; four in District 7; three in District 8; four in District 9; and five in District 10. There are also nine candidates running for mayor.
A record number of LGBTQ candidates (five) are running for City Council seats: Justin Holley (District 1); Colton Unden (District 1); Joel Mendoza (District 4); Frankie Gonzales-Wolfe (District 8); and Nicholas Balderas (District 9).
Some voters will also be asked to vote for school board members in their districts.
